Insurance
Insurance can give us peace of mind, however, medical insurance have a wide range of coverage when it comes to speech, voice, and language therapy. The coverage you have depends not only on the insurance carrier, but also what your employer has chosen to include in the policy. Insurance can be helpful to cover the cost of therapy, however, coverage is not always available. However, rather than skipping therapy, consider enquiring about cash discounts.
You are responsible for the entire allowable cost of our services to you. In compliance with the false Claims Act, we are responsible for collecting Co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and non-covered services from federally and privately insured patients. Many insurances require that the copayment is paid at the time of service. Some do not. However, to make it easier, we require the co-pay at the time of services for all insurances.
If you do not have insurance and wish to qualify for a cash discount, payment must be made at the time of services to comply with the law.
Your insurance contract is between you and your insurance company. You must be responsible to provide us with the necessary information at the time of service so we will be paid for your services. We will file your insurance claim, however, if we do not have all necessary information, including other insurance policies, the correct referral, the member’s insurance number, date of birth, and possibly social security number, we will bill you for the full cost of services. You will not qualify for a cash discount, because cash discounts can only apply at the time of service.
Disputes between you and your insurer must be resolved between you and your carrier.

Late Appointments
Please call if you are running late. The clinician may be able to give a full session if they know that you are running late. This is not guaranteed and is at their discretion. No shows will be charged a fee of 25 dollars. If you need to cancel please do so as soon as possible.
Therapy is usually provided in office. In some situations, and locations, and if it works with the clinician’s schedule, therapy may take place at the home or school but it is important to remember several things:
Therapy will begin when the clinician arrives. If the patient is not readily available, additional time will not be applied. If you need to cancel please do so as soon as possible. If the patient is sick, it is permissible to cancel as long as the clinician has not proceeded to their location. If the patient is not where therapy was scheduled to occur the account charged 35 dollars to cover the time traveling.
A late charge of 1% per month will be charged to your account that is unpaid over 60 days. A charge of 15.00 dollars will be made for checks returned. If a bill is not paid in full within 90 days, it will be sent to collection and the patient will be responsible for paying all legal fees and other costs incurred to collect the patients bill.
Patients are responsible to get their referrals to our office.
